We are so excited to announce that we’re having a writing retreat in San Juan, Puerto Rico this November!

For four days, Redbud founders Emily Cataneo and Arshia Simkin will lead a group of writers to a historic property in the heart of Old San Juan. We’ll spend mornings on craft talks and exercises, afternoons on free writing and one-on-one conferences/brainstorming, and evenings eating, sharing, and talking about our literary pursuits. Come join us this fall for a pre-holiday push on your writing in a paradisal setting.

the nuts & bolts

Most rooms are singles; we have one shared room available at a lower cost. The property has nine bathrooms and an open-air interior courtyard where we’ll gather for our daily lessons and talks. The property is a 12-minute drive from Puerto Rico’s main international airport; airport transfer is included in the cost of the retreat. The cost of food is also included (three meals a day will be provided by Puerto Rico Caterings). One afternoon, we’ll also arrange a group excursion to the beach. The only component of the trip NOT included in the fee is airfare.

The trip costs $2299 for a single room and $1999 for a shared room.
