free weekly drop in class for bipoc writers: RESISTANCE, RESILIENCE, and respite

Description: This is a free weekly drop-in class for BIPOC writers, led by local activist and writer Taari Coleman.  Writers will receive craft instruction on a variety of topics, including fiction, memoir, and more experimental writing, dictated by the class interests. Students will also receive writing prompts, time to write in class, and opportunities to share their writing, with in class feedback from peers and the instructor. This class aims to be a welcoming and safe space for BIPOC writers to write, gather, share, and empower one another.

Instructor: Taari Coleman

Dates: Begins Monday, March 4, and runs every Monday for six weeks total

Time: 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Level: all levels, including beginners welcome

Location: Redbud Writing Project Headquarters, 719 N. Person. St. Raleigh, NC

Cost: Free (This class is made possible with a generous grant from the NC Arts Council)
