Often found in bigger urban centers, programs like GrubStreet in Boston and Sackett Street in New York City are reimagining the literary landscape with intensive writing programs for adults with day jobs.

The goal of the Redbud Writing Project is two-fold: to give students concrete feedback on their work and craft-related suggestions, and to allow students to meet writing friends, critique partners, and mentors. But for all its merits, the area has historically lacked a space dedicated to its literary-minded folks—until recently…”
